Hi there! Thanks so much for your interest in my figure skating! My name is Hannah Byers and I am a competitive figure skater. I have been skating since I was 6 years old. 2017-2018 was my first qualifying season and I made it all the way to the US Figure Skating National Championships and placed 6th for Juvenile Girls! Only the top 1% of competitors make it to Nationals. This is a huge accomplishment and a first step of many for my goal to skate for TEAM USA .
I currently train in Northern Virginia and skate for the Washington Figure Skating Club. I am a straight A student and attend Laurel Springs Academy, an online accredited school for busy kids like me. I am an only child and have a chocolate lab named Brownie.
When I’m not skating or studying, I like to draw, play piano, or play outside. I like to ride my bike, my hover board, my scooter and especially my picskates! I love learning how to do new things and I’m great at teaching myself how to them. I also do pottery and can make pinch pots. I can snap my toes. I’m obsessed with cats and all things cats but my parents won’t let me have one. My dad, Edward Byers is a Medal of Honor Recipient. My mom, Madison manages my crazy schedule and all my media while driving me to ice rinks all over.
